She sat down with Teen Vogue and talked about her music career. Here's what she had to say.
About her style of music: “It's pop music with a little bit of jazzy, R&B influence.”
About what her inspiration was for her album: “I
like telling stories, and I focused on making an array of songs that
reflect that. The stories aren't necessarily based off of my
life—they're also about the lives of my friends. That's why the album is
called Hello My Name Is... It's an introduction."About her favorite song on her album: “Hurricane.' It's a rollercoaster love story, and I love the way the story is told."
About her current favorite music: “I like listening to Frank Ocean and Ed Sheeran—those are my two newbies. And I have to admit, I'm a little hooked on the new Ke$ha and Ellie Goulding singles."
About whether or not she'll go on tour: "I hope so! It really depends on how people respond to the music. I'm hoping that fans like it and can relate to it, and it's something that I'll be able to share."
